Account & Data Deletion

Delete your account and data

MyLifePapers is local-first: your records live encrypted on your own devices, and any cloud copy is encrypted so we can never read it. This page covers how to delete the small amount of data tied to your account, and what to do about the records on your device.

How to request deletion

Email [email protected] from any address and include your license key (find it in the app under Settings → License). No account login is required to make the request.

We delete the data described below within 7 days and email you to confirm once it's done.

What we delete

What stays on your device

Your records are stored on your own device, encrypted. We cannot reach them and a deletion request does not touch them. To remove the local copy, uninstall the app. On a fresh install there is nothing left to recover unless you have synced or paired elsewhere.

This is permanent

Deletion cannot be undone. Once your synced data is erased and your local copy is removed, those records are gone. We have no back channel to restore them. If you only want to stop syncing, you can switch your sync provider in the app instead of deleting your account.
